Milira Expanded - Future Technology

This mod expands the Milira race with a comprehensive suite of content spanning individual combat, tactical support, industry, and base construction. Equip your battle-hardened Milira veterans with Radiance Arrays to unleash combat abilities, wield futuristic weapons with multiple combat modes and smart shields, or deploy fully configurable tactical drones to assist in battle and everyday colony work. Build matter conversion, folded-space logistics, and life engineering facilities, gradually transforming your colony into a true Milira forward base.

Main Features

Radiance Arrays and Combat Abilities Radiance Arrays grant unique combat abilities based on the weapon their wearer is currently using. There are currently 17 abilities:

• 4 general abilities offering rapid movement, close-range energy bursts, sweeping area attacks, and wide-area bombardment

• War spears, greatswords, warhammers, glaives, scythes, and longswords each have their own basic and advanced abilities

• The Rift Edge has a dedicated ability that interacts with the Radiance Array

Psionic Tuner A personal psionic device for storing and managing psychic energy. It can store and replenish psyfocus, clear neural heat, and charge smart shields and futuristic weapons. Combined with an Overload Crystal Core and a Psychic Surge Unit, it can further enhance the wearer's psionic combat capabilities.

Smart Shields Advanced personal shields with adaptive protection mechanisms, available in two variants: the melee-oriented Resonance type and the ranged-oriented Frequency Modulation type. Smart shields establish a psychic resonance with their wearer and can be overclocked through the Psionic Tuner. Overclocking immediately restores the shield and greatly increases its capacity. While in a state of psychic overload, continued kills can also extend the overclock duration, strengthen combat bonuses, and reduce the subsequent cooldown.

Futuristic Weapons Adds several advanced weapons with unique mechanics and combat modes:

• Folded-Space Accelerator Cannon: Uses compressed space to continuously accelerate projectiles, piercing enemies and cover with multiple programmable ballistic modes

• Empyrean Judgment: A high-energy psionic weapon with switchable firing configurations

• Annihilation Storm: An advanced confined-energy weapon with multiple energy-release modes

• Rift Edge: A phase-based melee weapon that can switch between piercing, severing, and shield-draining modes

These weapons interact with the Psionic Tuner and other equipment, with different modes suited to armored targets, tightly packed formations, personal shields, or vital organs.

Tactical Drone System Adds gravity-based drones that colonists can carry and configure for different tactical roles.

• Three drone platform types—Mass, Vector, and Gravity—each available in three technology tiers

• Three tiers of drone hangars, carrying 2, 4, or 8 drones respectively

• Configurable execution modules for firepower, armor penetration, assault, shields, stealth, medical support, construction, and manufacturing support

• Supports autonomous targeting, coordinated attacks, inner- and outer-ring defense, penetrating assaults, ally healing, construction assistance, and manufacturing assistance

• Drone modules, tactical behaviors, and operating parameters can be edited at the Milira Universal Workbench

Beyond providing additional firepower, drones can project shields, provide medical aid, assist with construction, and support production.

Specialized Tactical Harness A modular personal terminal that can be freely fitted with tactical modules. The harness supports both sustained and active modules, providing capabilities such as stealth, exoskeleton enhancement, psychic stabilization, stealth detection, healing, smoke screens, illumination, crowd control, and area suppression. Sustained modules can be set to activate and deactivate automatically when the wearer is drafted or undrafted, while active modules can be loaded with the resources they require.

Industry and Base Building

Matter Conversion System Build a complete resource cycle around Standard Matter Units:

• Obtain basic resources through mass extraction and deep-vein mining facilities

• Convert raw materials and finished products into standard matter using matter disassemblers

• Reconstruct standard matter into the resources you need using matter recombiners

• Use production orders to run a job once, maintain stock levels, or produce continuously

• Manufacture advanced materials, equipment, and resources with particle constructors

• Convert matter into a steady power supply with Solar Fusion Reactors

Folded-Space Storage Network Establish a shared folded-space logistics network across the entire map. Items enter the network through input points and are rematerialized at output points according to the types and quantities you specify. The system also includes capacity anchors, production orders, connections to automated equipment, and virtual production interfaces, allowing some conventional workbenches to produce items directly from network inventory. Smart Response output points are still experimental. They attempt to supply missing materials automatically for construction, production, and refueling jobs. If you encounter compatibility issues, ordinary output points are recommended.

Life Engineering Adds biological and medical industries centered on Life Essence:

• Extract Life Essence from organic matter

• Archive skill memories from sentient beings for safe absorption

• Use Essence Cultivation Pods to repair disabilities, reconstruct bodies, and even revive the dead

• Produce livestock resources through biochemical cultivation modules

• Improve rest, treatment, and recovery with smart beds and smart medical beds

• Perform genetic analysis, archiving, and targeted cultivation

Extensive Customization

Many values for Radiance Array abilities, smart shields, futuristic weapons, and other core combat features can be adjusted in the mod settings. Customize damage, costs, cooldowns, ranges, and other mechanics to suit your mod setup, preferred combat pace, and desired power level.
