Overview

Nivarian: Mental Harness brings a variety of new Psionic abilities to your Nivarian Light Spirits! Replenish the mental energy of your Light Spirits and gain access to abilities across three distinct domains: Combat, Utility, and Serenity.

As the understanding of this planet deepens,

perhaps more abilities will emerge!

Combat Abilities

1. Area Lancet

Uses psionic thermodynamic disturbance to create a frost whirlwind, condensing water vapor into sharp ice blades that slice through enemy crowds in the area. Deals damage to enemies not wearing armor resistant to sharp/piercing attacks.

2. Crystal Shock

Compresses tiny ice crystals into a high-hardness core. This high-speed projectile can penetrate multiple walls. Shatters upon impact, dealing area-of-effect armor-piercing damage and leaving spikes on ground.

3. Air Pressure Bomb

Throws a psionic air-pressure bomb capable of passing through walls. Upon explosion, it knocks back nearby enemies, leaving them stunned for a period of time.

Utility Abilities

4. Swift Sky Lantern

Summons a sky lantern that grants a "Swiftness" blessing to all friendly units map-wide. The blessing increases movement speed and melee evasion rate.

5. Blueprint Sky Lantern

Summons a sky lantern that grants colonists a "Builder's" blessing. Increases construction speed, construction success chance, and even provides a chance to save construction materials.

6. Thermal Melting Field

Drives water molecules into violent vibration to create a high-temperature zone, turning the surrounding area into a giant microwave oven! This area can quickly smelt steel slag chunks into steel in bulk, or convert raw food into simple meals.

Note: Obviously, this will damage nearby items and plants!

Serenity Abilities

7. Animal Whisper

Psionically pacifies wild animals in a designated area. Each failed taming attempt increases the success rate of the next attempt. Pacified animals will not attack in retaliation to ranged attacks or failed taming attempts.

8. Arcane Birth Lamp

Summons a "Birth Lamp" that increases the pregnancy chance for nearby animals. Requires at least one male of the same species to be present. Additionally, body size and the duration of exposure to the light affect the success rate.

9. Shattered Stone Genesis Altar

Summons a psionic altar that can convert surrounding sand or stony terrain into fertile Psionic Soil. During the ritual, there is also a chance to randomly spawn various plants.

Dynamic Effect System Light Spirits' psionic skills are not set in stone! Skills cast by Light Spirits with high experience levels will have a larger radius, more potent effects, and longer durations.
