Dual Drive Land Rover Defender

Since many of you seemed to like my "Dual Drive Survival Offroad Jeep", I decided to build a more realistic looking vehicle for Creative Mode with the same mechanism.

The inspiration for my new creation is a Land Rover Defender 90 County Station Wagon. The idea was to build the vehicle as realistic as possible with many functions, but at the same time keep the off-road capability.

Automated functions:

• Brake light, both when driving forwards and backwards
• Reverse light when driving backwards
• Gear knob moves backwards when driving backwards
• Daytime running light is always on

Driver seat functions:

1. Dual drive mechanism/parking brake (handbrake lever moves, reduction lever moves, handbrake releases when driving off with W or S)
2. Windscreen wipers
3. Horn
4. & 5. Indicators (with click sound and display in the dashboard)
5. Low beam (with display in the dashboard)
6. High beam (with display in the dashboard)
7. Rear fog light
8. Rear headlights
9. Interior lighting

Manual functions:

• Radio can be switched on from the interior
• Interior lighting can be switched on individually from the interior

For performance reasons I did not install doors in the car, which means that getting in and out of the car can be pain in the ass. Sorry for that! I recommend getting in by jumping and quickly pressing "E" or by using the lift. You can get out through the passenger window or again with the lift. Oh yea, and since it is a car from England, the driver's seat is of course on the right side and the license plates have a different color.

Although the vehicle is significantly larger and heavier than the "Dual Drive Survival Jeep", the off-road capabilities are still amazingly good and the vehicle can climb extremely steep mountains. At first, the vehicle may seem a bit slow when you are driving in dual drive mode, but trust me, you will get the best off-road performance this way.

Hidden feature: Sometimes the rear axle jumps up, sometimes so hard that you do a front flip with the whole vehicle. I have not been able to solve this issue so far, because I don't know the cause. I guess it is because of the combination between the high weight, high engine power and the pistons on the rear axle.
