Better wires

READ THIS FOR 1.0.0!

Looks like it works on 1.0.0! Check the new installation steps as one changed! Feedback on the instructions or problems with the mods are very welcome! Apparently the game doesn't recreate all the cached assets, so in this version it is needed to delete only the assets to be updated instead of the entire folder.

This mod makes the wires and bearings easier to see. It adds a dark contour on wires, bearings and connection points to make them more visible.

HOW TO INSTALL:

• In the drive where scrap mechanic is installed, go to: "...\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\387990\2623326387"

• Copy the Data folder and paste it into: "...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Scrap Mechanic" and replace the existing files.

• Now, go to: "...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Scrap Mechanic\Cache\Mesh" and delete the file: bearing_connect_0A6A15864E92CAE5.mco

• Lastly, go to: "...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Scrap Mechanic\Cache\Textures" and delete the files:

HOW TO CHANGE ALTERNATIVE TEXTURES AND MESHES FOR BEARINGS, WIRES AND DOTS

The unconnected bearing's alternative texture is "experimental" as his original version seems generic, so could be used by other things. We couldn't find any broken original texture with that applied, if you do please let us know!

Someone reported a conflict on Durf's "The Modpack Polygons".

After the normal installation:

• Go to: "...\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\387990\2623326387\Alternative"

• Choose what you want replace, then copy choosed folder's content to: "...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Scrap Mechanic" and replace the existing files.

• For Alternative wires: nothing else to do!

• For NotConnectedBearing: delete "...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Scrap Mechanic\Cache\Textures\transparent_13B5057BCC8C98A7.tco"

• For Small Bearing: delete "...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Scrap Mechanic\Cache\Mesh\bearing_connect_0A6A15864E92CAE5.mco"

• For Smaller Dot: delete "...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Scrap Mechanic\Cache\Textures\motorpoint_E3D80CDBD3ECC932.tco"

HOW TO UNINSTALL:

The easier way is to use the steam tool to "Verify integrity of game files".

If you want to restore the original files manually:

• Go to: "...\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\387990\2623326387\Backup"

• Copy the Data folder into: "...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Scrap Mechanic" and replace the existing files.

• Go to: "...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Scrap Mechanic\Cache" and delete the same files that you deleted during installation. If unsure, it is safe to delete all the files listed in all the versions.
