Auto Welder

A modded part that allows you to weld (and unweld) creations together without using the weld tool.

Updates

• 25/09/2026 - Fixed a multiplayer bug where settings weren't sync'ed to all players.

• 09/09/2026 - Now works with the 1.0 "Drilling Thunder" update.

• 14/02/2025 - Added a slider to let players customise the welding misalignment threshold (minimum 1.8°, maximum 18°).

• 14/02/2025 - Fixed a mod compatibility issue that caused parts/blocks in creations to be positioned incorrectly when reloading the world. This also now allows creations to be freely upgraded or downgraded between versions before and after 0.7.0.

• 16/12/2024 - In survival mode, a bed (that's part of a creation with an auto welder) that has been set as a spawn point will be unset when a weld occurs. This has been fixed and spawn points correctly transfer over to welded creations.

• 16/12/2024 - Deleting an auto welder while it is welded to another creation leaves an invisible indestructible block. This has been fixed and creations will now properly detach.

• 10/12/2024 - Duplication bug potentially fixed. I'm leaving it in the "Known Issues" section below just in case.

• 06/12/2024 - Now works with latest draggable wedges update.

Survival Mode Compatibility

This mod is in the ModDatabase. Custom game modes (such as Modded Craftbot Recipes) that make use of the database will have access to the recipe.

Known Issues

• Downgrading a creation with an auto welder from version 0.7.0 (Physics & Wedge Update) or later to an earlier version will corrupt the position data of blocks. This has been fixed but left here for posterity

• On rare occasions, creations become duplicated on welding. This has been fixed but left here for posterity
