Engineer Player Character

Manual installation required!

1. Subscribe to the mod
2. Right click on Scrap Mechanic in Steam library > Manage > Browse local files ( this will open game root directory )
3. Open second explorer window in the same directory.
4. Open mod folder [location of SteamLibrary or Steam]/steamapps/workshop/content/387990/3434554877/
5. Open INSTALL folder and copy everything into Scrap Mechanic root directory and press Replace.
6. Play the game. Engineer should dance in the Main Menu. ( Enabling mod in your world is not required, it already changes your game files. )

Example location of SteamLibrary or Steam (Windows): C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
E:\SteamLibrary\

How to uninstall:

1. Subscribe to the mod
2. Right click on Scrap Mechanic in Steam library > Manage > Browse local files ( this will open game root directory )
3. Open second explorer window in the same directory.
4. Open [location of SteamLibrary or Steam]/steamapps/workshop/content/387990/3434554877/
5. Open UNINSTALL folder and copy everything into Scrap Mechanic root directory and press replace.
6. ( optional ) Press the Like button on the mod.
7. Play the game as Mechanic.

OR

1. Right click on Scrap Mechanic in Steam library > Properties > Verify integrity of game files

Features:

TF2 Engineer player character Damaged backpack replaced with Nothing. 70+ original tf2 animations ported. Does not affect any gameplay features. (no lua scripts modified) Works in Survival and Creative. Seat ragdolls are adjusted for engineer's proportions.

If you want to be a blue engineer:

1. Go to mod folder [location of SteamLibrary or Steam]/steamapps/workshop/content/387990/3434554877/
2. Continue going to ./Character/TF2_Engineer/
3. Rename engineer_red.tga to engineer_red_backup.tga
4. Rename engineer_blue.tga to engineer_red.tga
5. Play the game. (I guess to go back to red you know what to do.)

Multiplayer?

UNTESTED, but it should work if your friends install this mod too. Btw you can't change being red/blue for individual player in multiplayer, it's just one texture ( everyone is same color ) and i don't know how to hijack the character customization system to make that possible.

Known issues:

It can reset your character customization ( NOT delete your garments ), or its just me. Causes tons of warnings in developer terminal. Some animations look unfitting. Weldtool activated idle animation is broken and i don't know why. Sledgehammer and other tool animations are janky and turn in random directions, fixing that is too tedious.

Bike seat and Bed sitting ragdolls are broken and i couldnt fix them. Sitting in modded seats will make you glitch out the ragdoll or T-pose and there's no way to fix that. If sitting in a modded seats crashes your game please report to me.

It's my first mod in SM, i literally don't know anything.
