Old World Blues Submod: Ship Names

Naming Conventions:
Generic- Created generic names for most nations split between a raider, tribal and civilized list. >Raider- Everything has generic raider names; guts, gore and drugs. >Tribal- Stereotypical stuff you’d expect. >Civilized- Plain wasteland ship names, ex: Rust Bucket or something.

Great Khans- Unlisted same as generic raider. Battleships: Some named after great khans, other names changed from raider. Carriers: Some named after locations, other names changed from raider.

New Vegas - Unlisted same as generic civilized. Battleships & Carriers: Changed names to be more Vegas-like.

NCR- Fallows traditional US naming conventions. Prefixed with NCS (like USS). Baja state uses same designations. Destroyers: Famous Soldiers/Heroes of the NCR (Boulder city memorial + Seth) L. Cruisers: Towns H. Cruisers: Major Settlements + Mojave Camps Battleships: NCR State Names Carriers: Presidents of NCR + Enterprise (Always 1 US ship with designation, NCR wants to rebuild America hence)

Legion- Caesar always names first ships in class after himself and Mars to continue solidifying his position as the head of the Legion. Destroyers: Legion/Roman sayings L. Cruisers: Locations in Legion territory H. Cruisers: Prefixed with “Champion” + member of legion, typically high ranking Battleships: Names of Roman gods Carriers: Names of the Titans

Western Brotherhood- Mojave chapter shares list with them.
Destroyers: Prefixed with “BOS” + BOS sayings or made up sayings to fill list L. Cruisers: Prefixed with “BOS” + BOS Member (any chapter) H. Cruisers: Prefixed with “BOS” + Halo ship name parody Battleships: Prefixed with “Saint” + Prominent BOS member. Few East Coast BOS due to the schism Arthur is trying to heal. Carriers: Prefixed with “High Saint” + A member of Maxson line or the first Mrs.Maxson. Note how Arthur, though a Maxson, is not honored here.

Washington Brotherhood- Though they share a lot with the other BOS there are differences to help show the split between them. Destroyers: Prefixed with “True Steel – “+ BOS or Made up sayings L. Cruisers: Prefixed with “True Steel – “+ BOS member (any chapter b/c lack of Washington members.) H. Cruisers: Prefixed with “True Steel – “+ Different Halo ship name parodies Battleships: Prefixed with “Saint” + ignores great members of other Chapters, spare some historic Western members. Carriers: Prefixed with “Immortal” + Maxson line without Arthur. Also includes Washington leader as an Immortal.

New Canaan
Destroyers: Service Boat L. Cruisers: First 10 named the commandments, all after are ‘guardians’ H. Cruisers: Prefixed with “faithful” + member of New Canaan. When names exhausted ships called bishops Battleships: Prefixed with “Defender of the Faith” + member of church Carriers: Named after the New Canaan prophets

Western Enclave- Just Paragon provided US ship names, they are the US after all why would their navy be named different? Though some true Enclave stuff such as president names for carriers.

The Shi- Prefixed with SPC (Shi’s People Craft), uses Chinese ship names

The Yakuza- Paragon provided fictional Japanese designations with some famous ships too.

New Victoria- Paragon provided British ship designations with a few to suite new country

Troll Warren- Super mutant so it’s all ‘human weak, me strong’ stuff
