• Modern Map Prototype: Extensive rework of China's provinces and victory points based on modern geography. Experience the flavor of "Beiping" instead of Beijing, and "Fengtian" instead of Shenyang.
• Geopolitical Micro-adjustments: Key regions have been subdivided—Zhili split into Tianjin, Jiangsu-Zhejiang area refined with Nanjing and Nantong. Further refinements may come later.
• Lost Territories & Border Flashpoints: Overhauled Outer Manchuria, added provinces in Outer Northwest China, included the Sino-Indian border dispute areas, and added the three northern Burmese states to restore complex regional dynamics.
• New Focus Trees: Brand-new focus trees for China, Russia, and the American Union States (still rough around the edges, but enough to change history).

🇨🇳 China: The Reborn Dragon

The gunshots of the Xinhai Revolution did not merely bring about a nominal republic. In 1913, the blood dried from the assassination of Song Jiaoren, and history took a sharp turn. Dr. Sun Yat-sen successfully consolidated the Southern revolutionary forces, while the Northern clique fell into irreparable infighting after Yuan Shikai's death. Lacking unified command, the Northern Army was routed by the determined revolutionaries. In just half a year, the Blue Sky and White Sun flag flew over Peking.

This time, the new republic was no longer a fragile preemie. High lamas from Tibet, herdsmen at the foot of the Tianshan, and Mongol princes all acknowledged this new sovereign. After decades of turmoil and reorganization, by 1936, this nation, newly risen from the rubble, stood ready to face the challenges from the sea with an awkward yet unyielding posture.

🇷🇺 Russia: Stalemate on the Steppe

The October Revolution never came; instead, it was replaced by a long, bloody war of attrition. Kolchak’s White Army, supported by the Czechoslovak Legion and the Entente, advanced like a whirlwind, cornering the Soviet regime against the walls of Moscow. However, the Red Army’s resilience exceeded all expectations.

By 1936, the front lines had frozen along the Volga and the Urals. Both sides were exhausted. The black earth of Ukraine and the ports of the Baltic were now scorched earth. Under League of Nations mediation, a fragile ceasefire was signed, yet the icy air remained thick with the压抑 atmosphere of an impending apocalypse.

Black Thursday in 1929 took more than just money; it took the people's faith in the laissez-faire system. In the South, the "Kingfish," Huey Long, used his mesmerizing oratory and tangible welfare policies to weave a web for secession. In the North, Roosevelt tried to stitch the wounds with his "New Deal," but the cracks in trust were beyond repair.

The North American continent no longer shone with a single star. The industrialized Northern United States and the agrarian, conservative American Union States glared at each other across borders. The clouds of a world war seemed to offer them a reason to destroy one another.

Post-Meiji Restoration, Japan acted like a nouveau riche desperate to prove itself. After annexing Korea, its gaze fixed firmly on the fertile lands of Manchuria. The "September 18 Incident" was just the beginning. With Puyi whisked away to Changchun to head the puppet state of Manchukuo, the influence of the Japanese military eclipsed the cabinet.

By 1936, the bayonets of the Kwantung Army glinted in the cold wind. A dangerous symbiosis formed between domestic zaibatsu and the military, convinced that only expansion could alleviate resource anxiety. North or South? This gambler nation stood at the edge of a cliff, ready to bare its fangs to the world.

In Germany, the weakness of the Weimar Republic gave way to Nazi fanaticism, as Hitler masked rearmament behind grand parades. Across the Channel, the British Empire’s vast body had long been hollowed out by war. Oswald Mosley’s "Blackshirts" marched in the streets, denouncing Jewish capital and promising to make Britain great again. As George VI fled to Canada, the miasma over London signaled the end of parliamentary politics in the land.

The flame of fascism was spreading from the English Channel across the entire European continent.
