Introduction

This submod adds a path for the United States to avoid the civil war by using Kaiserreich 0.8.6 content. I do not intend to develop this mod further so if anyone is interested, please let me know.

Steps to prevent the American civil war

1. Form the National Unity Party

2. Elect Olson as President

3. Ensure that the Coalition does not fall apart

4. Go down Velvet Glove Path

5. Don't allow Huey Long in the negotiations

6. Ask Reed to make a better offer

7. Present the compromise to Congress

8. Discuss Long with Hoover

9. Assassinate Long

10. Peace at last

Common Issues

1. The Fair Deal and Democracy Prevails focus trees are not showing up

The Fair Deal and Democracy Prevails focus trees are in a separate US focus tree utilizing the dynamic focus trees from HOI4 1.5 patch. These branches will show up and replace the Constitutional Convention branch once the civil war is avoided.

2. Discuss Long with Hoover option not showing up

Let me know.

3. Compatibility with older saves

It is not compatible with older saves that existed before installing this mod. A new game is required unless you are able to edit the save file. If you are able to edit the save file, find the flags section shown below.
