Description

Sensible Theatre Icon (STI) is focused on making the theatre icons (for both army groups, armies and navies) more easily recognizable. It started as a personal mod because I didn't really liked the assortment of vanilla icons, but always loved the selection present on MPU Theatre Icons (thanks @mpu.daemos for the inspiration).

The icons are colourable, following the in-game palette and do not overwrite vanilla icons (generic and country specific).

What STI adds:

• 73 new Army Group Icons

  • 20 arabic numerals

  • 26 alphabet letters

  • 15 military acronyms (HQ,SF,ART,etc.)

  • 11 military based symbols

  • 1 blank

• 139 new Army Icons

  • 30 arabic numerals

  • 25 roman numerals

  • 26 alphabet letters

  • 31 military acronyms (HQ,SF,ART,etc.)

  • 17 nato-like icons

  • 5 stylized military icons

  • 4 cardinal points icons

  • 1 blank

• 100 new Fleets and Navy Task Forces Icons (big for fleets, small for task forces)

  • 15 arabic numerals (big)

  • 8 cardinal points (big)

  • 16 oceans and seas areas (big)

  • 2 acronyms (big)

  • 8 military stylized icons (big)

  • 10 military stylized icons (small)

  • 14 acronyms (small)

  • 27 task-force-esque numerals (11,12,13,14,21,22,23,24,etc.)

Compatibility

STI should be compatible with ALL modification, unless they specifically change graphics in the theatre panel (icons & alerts). The mod however has a very small footprint as I ensure that it does and will always pertain to his scope.

FAQ

Can you add more icons? It seems there is an hardcoded limit on the number of icons, so far we've touched it already on the navy icons so I can try add more to army groups and armies Can you extend your work on map/unit counters? I really would like to, however I barely manage to keep up with STI. Hopefully at some point I will do that Can you add real unit insigna? I thought about that but the hardcoded limit would prevent us from benefitting for generic icons like the one present in the mod I've found a BUG! Please post a comment here, I'll try to solve ASAP!
