KSR - Kovas' States Rework [OUTDATED]

Kovas' States Rework is a mod which implements many new states in the game! Ranging across multiple continents, players will now be able to restore certain historical borders, bend territory alongside natural barriers like rivers and also make use of underlooked landmasses like Greenland. Among the many new states that were implemented, a significant amount of vanilla states have also been changed and improved.

This is a project I have been working on in my spare time just out of the fun that I get modding Hearts of Iron IV. There is much that can still be done, considering some continents are completely untouched. The KSR states mod is not under frequent development so updates might take a while to get released.

Version 1.1.0 - May 22nd, 2022

NOTE: this is one of my first mods for Hearts of Iron IV. Although many test runs have been exercised, there is still a small chance that you may experience stability issues such as sporadical crashing. I will keep updating the mod based on my earliest convenience, so please be patient.

Improvements & Changes

• the Rhineland demilitarized zone has been fixed based on historical accuracy;

• the Molotov-Ribentropp Pact's division of Poland has been improved based on historical accuracy;

• the Yalta Conference territorial divisions have been fixed based on historical accuracy;

• Berlin will be divided into East Berlin and West Berlin upon agreements in the Yalta Conference;

• the border between West Germany and East Germany has been slightly updated;

• Bonn has been added as a city in Germany and will act as the West German capital should the Yalta Conference plan come into effect;

• the colors of West Germany and East Germany have been updated;

• Iceland has been revamped to include many provinces and several states;

• Northern South America has been revamped to include more dynamic provinces;

• fixed leftover cores after forming the Roman Empire;

• fixed leftover cores after forming Byzantium;

• German Reich will only demand the north of Slovenia based on historical accuracy;

• Italy and Hungary will obtain historical gains after the First Ljubliana Award;

• the Sudetenland has been fragmented to avoid potential border gore.

Mod Compatiblity

Any other modifications that implement new states in the game will naturally conflict with KSR and result in glitching or, most likely, crashing. Total conversion mods will usually not work. Example mods that will NOT work alongside KSR:
