Hearts of Iron 4 Ideology Rework

Have you ever felt that the ideologies and sub-ideologies in Hoi4 seemed to behave too similarly? Sure, there are some differences between the four ideologies, but most of their effects and features are the same.

As such, this mod aims to completely change the four ideologies and their sub-ideologies by expanding on their benefits and drawbacks, hence creating asymmetry and variety in your games. Sub-ideologies also have new unique icons, courtesty of another mod that is linked in the credits section.

Democracy

Democracies in this mod are stabler and have stronger economies. However, the comfortable lifestyles of civilians has led to a hesitancy for war.

Communism

Communist countries in this mod fight best in wars of attrition, where they can outlast and overwhelm their enemies. However, the inefficiencies of a planned economy lead to many resources being squandered during peacetime.

Fascism

The fanaticism and militarism prevalent in many fascist nations enables them to excel at rapid, offensive campaigns of conquest. However, governmental corruption will hamper the economy in the long-term, and racial politics will spark stronger resistance movements in occupied territories.

Neutrality

The politics of states that are unaligned to any of the major ideologies generally revolve around retaining power or changing their governments to suit the global situation.
