WELCOME TO THE HOME OF HEARTS OF IRON IV ESPORTS

[b] The former official mod of the TommyKay hoi4 1v1 league. **

DESIGN GOALS

Facilitate the best possible competitive hoi4 experience for players and viewers, the gameplay places two opponents on opposite sides of a mirrored continent. Only total domination is enough to win.

** BALANCE **

• Identical match start scenario for both players

• Individual skill is the most important factor in victory

** PLAYER SKILL-EXPRESSION **

• Ensure the best players can still make impactful micro decisions to win decisive battles on Land and Sea and in the Air.

• The mod needs to support the nuances of existing high level multiplayer mechanics.

** REMOVE DOWNTIME **

• Games need to be exciting for viewers

• No buildup phase - start the game with a fully functioning economy, basic research and a decent military force

** DIVERSE STRATEGIES **

• Build you own path to victory, each player has full control over their starting production

• • Balancing will emphasize on ensuring that there are multiple ways to win a match *

** TRUE TO HEARTS OF IRON **

• A map that's inspired by real world locations and adapted to competitive play

• The mod should play just like hoi4, with some of the fat trimmed off

This is the first publicly playable version of the map, this version emphasizes functionality above all other considerations. Updates are already planned and ongoing, but we're eager to let the public get their hands on it and give us feedback.

** VANILLA GAMEPLAY SYSTEMS **

Making use of the hard work done by Paradox, and to save some time, we've integrated all possible vanilla gameplay systems into this version of the map.

• In hopes to save time, we pushed integrating navy into the map into our next update

• We're planning to add a diverse roster of nations to choose from, with distinct strengths and weaknesses
