Simple Planes Back

This mod makes the pre-designed planes available again. The tech tree has been altered so that both the old simple system and new designer-based system live peacefully side-by-side. The old upgrade system is also back. The AI also uses the simple planes again.

Check out this submod by GJC to apply the 3D models that came with BBA to the simple planes!

Mod Compatibility

• Compatible with Kaiserreich and Kaiserredux. Technically playable but some of the newer features of the mod do not apply to nations that are not in vanilla. I am working on submods to address this.
• Not compatible with mods that add new branches to ANY tech tree (not just the plane one). (This counts for Road to 56 as well unfortunately).

Notes:

• Because this mod breaks which techs are marked as starting techs in the edited tree, I implemented my own dynamic system for assigning starting techs (which sounds a lot more fancy than it is, but ok). It is not perfect since it makes a couple of assumptions but it suffices.

4.0: AI + 1.15 Support!

• Now works with 1.15 and the new expansion. if there are any bugs let me know!
• The AI now uses the simple planes. They will upgrade them too. Let me know how the balance feels as I had to make my own logic for upgrades. The vanilla behaviour is hard-coded and unavailable to modders.
• Simple planes now spawn on the map as if BBA was not installed.
• Production methods are now set with the simple planes as well.
• compatibility with kaiserreich/redux is still pending. the changes made in this update mean that I'll have to make submods for compatibility now instead of having it integrated.
