OWB ERX Panama Canal

"The Panama Canal, built over 100 years even before the Great War, was one of the United States' greatest naval and trade assets. Its advent revolutionized oceangoing travel between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. Such an asset would find itself just as useful in the modern day, and Honduras will make the perfect staging area from which to reclaim the canal."

This is a small mod to Enclave Reborn - Redux which adds the Panama Canal as a constructable strait from Honduras, allowing ships to pass through the sea zone off the coast of Guatemala and come out in the center of the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Honduras.

The canal can be reconstructed and repaired via decision. The decision can be taken by the Enclave once Honduras has either been befriended, conquered, or puppeted.

This mod does NOT change the map or add any lands or new nations which exist south of Honduras. It simply adds some small flavor with a little bit of functionality.

Mod requires both Old World Blues and Enclave Reborn - Redux.

Mod is not compatible with other mods which change or add straits/canals or change adjacency rules, including East Coast Reborn. A compatibility patch has been made for all map overhaul mods, which can be found HERE

FAQ:

"Why is the Panama Canal in Honduras?"

It's not. The "canal" being in Honduras is just a representation of the existence of the canal, which is, of course, in Panama. Honduras was the most logical location, in my mind, to put that representation, since logistics to the Panama Canal would likely be routed through or affected by Honduras.
