Russia has once again fallen into instability. Defeat in the First European War left the country exhausted, divided, and plunged into political chaos. When the provisional government led by Navalny announced nationwide elections, many believed this would mark the beginning of a new era. With The Astolfo Rises, players are given the chance to shape the outcome of this moment and bring to power a leader who will redefine the very essence of Russia.

The Astolfo Rises is a submod for (https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=3350890356), adding new post-defeat paths for fallen great powers.

In Russia, Astolfo can now participate in the elections, potentially winning and launching a radically different political course with unique focuses, decisions, and events.

For Japan, the mod introduces an alternative scenario: after defeat in the Taiwan War, power in the country is transferred to an AI version of Hatsune Miku.

Compatible with Hearts of Iron IV 1.19.* and The Fire Rises 1.0.9.1 "Brussels Effect".

How to Bring Astolfo to Power

First, lose the First European War and bring Navalny's provisional government to power. Then complete the focuses "Unknown Figure" and "First Russian Democratic Elections" in Navalny's focus tree.

How to Bring Navalny to Power

Navalny can come to power after Russia loses the First European War. The exact requirement depends on Russia's political path: Medvedev's Russia: After the defeat, select "Destroy them now!" in the event "The March Begins!". CPRF-led Russia: At the time of the defeat, the ruling ideology must be Authoritarian Socialist. LDPR-led Russia: Complete the focus "Populist Revolution" before the defeat.

What Ideologies Are Available for Astolfo?

Femboy Populism This is Astolfo's default ideology and requires no additional actions. Femboy Putinism To unlock this ideology:

1. Appoint Elvira Nabiullina as Minister of Economy.
2. Complete the focus "Protect the Nation from Chaos".
3. Create the National Media Platform through the decision unlocked by "National Loyalty Program".
4. Complete the focus "Savior of Russia".
5. Secure the loyalty of the Libertarians, the Socialists, and Yuneman through the decisions unlocked by "An Internal Coalition Hierarchy".
6. Nationalize YUKOS through the focus "Fight the Oligarchy".
7. Raise Conservative popularity above 25%.
8. Take the decision "Restore the Old System". Femboy Oligarchism To unlock this ideology:
9. Appoint Mikhail Khodorkovsky as Minister of Economy.
10. Complete the focus "Affirm the Power of the People".
11. Raise the influence of the New Oligarchs to at least 80%.
12. Complete the focus "Support in Exchange for Loyalty".
13. In the event "Their Place in the System", select "Let them participate in economic management."
14. Complete the focus "Democracy with Femboy Characteristics".
15. Raise Market Liberal popularity to at least 25%.

How to Keep Astolfo in Power or Choose a Successor?

Astolfo can always remain in power after the war. There are no additional requirements for this outcome. Astolfo can only step down if the ruling ideology is Femboy Populism and the focus "Affirm the Power of the People" has been completed. If Astolfo steps down, the following successors may become available: Alexei Navalny Available by default. Alexander Shtefanov

1. Complete the focus "Expand the Popular Front".
2. Raise Social Democratic popularity to at least 15%. Boris Nadezhdin
3. Appoint Nadezhdin as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
4. Do not appoint Mikhail Khodorkovsky or Mikhail Svetov as Minister of Economy.
5. Complete the focus "Expand the Popular Front".
6. Create Nadezhdin's party through the decision "Resolve the Libertarian Party Question".
7. Raise Market Liberal popularity to at least 15%. Mikhail Svetov
8. Appoint Svetov as Minister of Economy.
9. Raise Market Liberal popularity to at least 15%. Maxim Katz
10. Appoint Katz as Minister of Internal Affairs.
11. Raise Social Liberal popularity to at least 15%. Ilya Yashin
12. Appoint Yashin as Minister of Internal Affairs.

How to Bring Hatsune Miku to Power in Japan?

1. Lose the Taiwan War as Japan.
2. Complete "Strengthening National Security" and "Technological Renaissance" in either order.
3. In the event "Project MIKU", select "...begin preparations for the launch."

What Paths Are Available for Hatsune Miku?

Japanese Technofuturism Ensure that the Technocrats have more influence than every other faction within the LDP, then complete the focus "Constitutional Referendum". This will unlock the focus "Era of the Great Mind".
