In 1936, Germany is a national socialist dictatorship who has suffered over a decade of humiliation following the end of the Great War. Democracy seems thing of a past with as elections have been cancelled and democratic institutions have been dismantled. While the nation seems to be on the road to world conquest, other political movements and even opposition within the party could result in a change of course. Whatever the case may be, the next decade will be very interesting for Germany. How will you shape it?

EXPANDED HISTORICAL OPTIONS Invade even more countries that Germany didn't do historically.

NEW GRAPHICS, CITIES, & LANDMARK Tons of new focus icons, even for existing ones! Cities have also been updated, giving a better representation for the importance of many cities. The Rhineland states also have their borders adjusted. Even the Neuschwanstein Castle from Bavaria makes an appearance.

BALANCE OF POWER Side between the civilian government and the Wehrmacht, giving an extra level of flavor for all paths.

RECONSIDER AMERICAN COLONIZATION The German monarchy historically had some interest with colonizing the Americas and going to war with the United States, but never got much into either. Can you change that?

REPUBLICAN PATH Restore the Weimar ways and either align with the UK or form the Central European Alliance. Either way, you have the chance to gain some of your old lands back democratically or be a staunch anti-imperialist.

NEW DEMOCRATIC LEADERS Just like the old Better German Alt-History, Heinrich Hellwege of the German Party (can only be gained if doing constitutional monarchy) and Theodor Heuss of the FDP can ascend to chancellorship.

PRUSSIAN DEMOCRACY Give some power to the chancellor while still being the Kaiserreich! Can choose a chancellor from the CDU, DP, or DNVP.

OPERATION VALKYRIE The National Socialists have failed Germany, we must overthrow them to truly make Germany great! Either the DNVP can continue its government or democracy can be permitted.

OPPOSITION WITHIN THE NSDAP Division within the NSDAP could result in the deposition of the current leader and result in new leadership - adding a new twist to the historical path.

GERMANIC UNION Instead of unifying Europe as the monarchy, unite Germania instead! Bring the Germanic brothers together to form the most powerful country on earth! Also possible to form as communist.

This mod does require Götterdämmerung, because it uses content from the DLC.

While further development of this mod has been cancelled, bug reports are greatly encouraged!

FAQ:

Can I make a submod/translation mod? Absolutely yes! I will always encourage submods.

Is this Rt56 Compatible/Can you make this Rt56 compatible? It is not, and I have no plans to. If you want to make a version that is, be my guest.

Is this ironman/althistory compatible? As for ironman, no. But althistory should work, just don't expect it to work perfectly.

Can you please add x path? If it is even remotely possible at the time I will consider it (so basically same level of craziness as some of the base HOI4 paths like the Chilean ones or the German naval coup) but if the path is a little too crazy for the time period, it will not be considered. However, I encourage submods if you wish to add a path that you want.

Can you please make a version of this mod with/without x? No, I am not making any other alternate versions of this mod. But if you want to make one yourself, you are welcome to.

Does this work with x mod? I can't confirm. But if it changes the map or something like that, it probably will not work. Also, please don't submit bug reports if you are running this with other mods.

Can I make a submod / use this in my mod? Be my guest. Just please, credit this.

Does it really need Götterdammerung? Absolutely. The alternate history focuses and many portraits won't show up if you don't have it.

Is it compatible with your other rework mods? Nope.
