Ultimate Tech Tree: TFR redux

Introduction

Do you find the unprocessed tech tree icons in TFR dazzling and confusing? Then give this mod a try! This mod reworks all tech tree icons in TFR, with many assets being entirely new creations to better fit TFR's theme. Additionally, this mod uses some assets from Ultimate Tech Tree: TFR — thanks to them for their contributions to the community.

Major Updates

2026.2.10: Added compatibility with Rising Flame: Combat+ Fix, creating icons for its newly added technologies. 2026.2.15: The infantry tech tree icons have undergone significant changes, with nearly twenty new original icons added to better match TFR's descriptions of these technologies. Other tech tree icons have also received some modifications. Fixed an issue where equipment icons corresponding to some tech tree icons were still using vanilla TFR icons. Discovered and fixed a vanilla TFR bug: three icons in Russia's artillery tech tree were displaying incorrectly, showing icons that shouldn't have appeared. 2026.3.20: Remade the tech and equipment icons for PRC's light tanks, main battle tanks, and infantry fighting vehicles. Remade icons for the equipment models granted to PRC at game start. Nearly twenty new icons are all original creations, with revised names and added technology descriptions.

Compatibility

Since the equipment icon paths in the official TFR version are hardcoded, I have modified three files in history\countries: jap, prc, and sov. If my updates are not timely and you encounter bugs, please delete the files in this folder. This may affect the equipment icons, but other issues will be resolved.
