PRC Enhance

An expansion and enhancement mod for Communist China in vanilla Hearts of Iron IV.

This mod changes map resources, supply hubs, faction tendencies and related systems, so it is not compatible with map-changing mods. FPS Map should work normally.

It is also incompatible with other PRC focus overhauls, major overhaul mods, and state/province modification mods.

Rather than replacing the vanilla experience, this mod expands the existing PRC framework with new focuses, advisors, characters, AI behavior, military development and post-unification content.

Main Features

Focus Tree & Research

• National Focus duration reduced to 60% of vanilla.

• Research Slot focuses have been moved earlier in the tree.

• Up to 6 Research Slots can be unlocked through industrial development.

• Rebalanced selected focuses, National Spirits and temporary bonuses.

• Some leader bonuses have been converted into National Spirits to better distinguish political paths.

• Improved and rewritten localization for many vanilla focuses and events.

Early Expansion & Territorial Recovery

After completing Burn the Paper Tiger or Two Reluctantly Cooperating Carriages, the PRC can expand against:

• The Ma Clique

• Shanxi

New decisions and events also allow China to recover territories through diplomacy, border conflicts and military pressure.

Current targets include:

• Guangzhouwan

• Hong Kong

• Macau

• South Tibet

Northern disputed territories can also be recovered.

If the Soviet Union enters a war against a Major Power, China may support it by joining the war, sending volunteers or providing other assistance.

After meeting the requirements, China can demand the return of disputed northern territories.

A sufficiently powerful China may also pressure the Soviet Union without directly assisting it.

Military strength is checked through equipment and unit quality, so spamming hundreds of one-battalion divisions will not work.

Soviet Aid

• All political paths can now receive Soviet aid.

• The Wang Ming / Bo Gu path receives stronger Soviet support.

• Restored and expanded Soviet military assistance content.

• Updated Soviet generals and advisors.

AI Improvements

PRC AI has been significantly improved.

Once its industry becomes strong enough, the AI will begin developing:

• Armored forces

• Air forces

• Navy

Without player intervention, PRC AI can usually unify China around 1942.

Advisors, MIOs & Industry

• Buffed selected vanilla advisors.

• Added multiple basic Military Industrial Organizations.

• Reworked Industrial Concerns.

• Merged the old industrial companies into three core companies.

• Each company can be upgraded through related National Focuses.

Post-Unification Political Paths

The old late-game war focuses have been redesigned.

The new system currently features: Two core leaders and three major foreign-policy paths.

Lin Biao — Military Commission

Focuses on:

• Military expansion

• War mobilization

• Arms production

• Continuous warfare

This path can establish:

WPO — Huaxia Pact Organization

Military Alliance / Rapid Expansion / Continuous War

The WPO is designed for aggressive expansion and large-scale military blocs.

It provides:

• Shorter war preparation

• Stronger offensive capabilities

• Improved military production

• Bonuses for continuous warfare

Recommended for players who want fast expansion and constant wars.

Liu Shaoqi — Industrial Commission

Focuses on:

• Economic construction

• Industrial development

• Long-term growth

• Diplomatic expansion

This path can establish:

NPTO — North Pacific Treaty Organization

Economic Development / Diplomacy / Asian Decolonization

China can invite colonial territories across Asia into the NPTO.

If their overlord agrees, they may:

• Gain independence or a new political status

• Change government

• Join the NPTO

• Receive a unique NPTO National Spirit

This path favors economic growth, diplomacy and peaceful expansion.

Shared Path — Oh! Asian Alliance!

Available to:

• Lin Biao

• Liu Shaoqi

• Mao

This path can establish:

EU — Oh! Asian Alliance!

Economic Community / Investment / Long-Term Integration

This system is based on the updated Japanese Co-Prosperity Sphere mechanics.

Players can:

• Invite Asian countries into the alliance.

• Invest in member states.

• Build their industry and infrastructure.

• Increase Chinese influence through economic cooperation.

• Gradually integrate members into higher levels of the community.

• Eventually turn them into unique autonomous subjects.

Compared with the military-focused WPO and diplomacy-focused NPTO, the Oh! Asian Alliance! emphasizes economic integration and long-term development.

Build an Asian economic community centered around China.
