SPECIFICS OF THE MOD :

• This mod is made for 1.19.2, meaning you can play with it in a wide range of versions. However, it is preferable you stick with this version as this mod is very sensible to any update or other mod that changes this version's in-game provinces.

• This mod is available in all vanilla languages. If you detect any spelling mistake, I'd be more than happy if you let me know so I can correct it.

• This mod requires the La Résistance, By Blood Alone, Gotterdammerung and the No Compromise, No Surrender DLCs.

• This mod CAN be played with along other ones AS LONG AS the in-game states and provinces, the Spanish Focus Tree and all portraits remain untouched. That being said, here's an additional list of incompatible mods:

• Historical Portraits

• It goes without saying that this mod is NOT Ironman Compatible.

CONTENT:

Step into an alternate history where Spain emerges from the ashes of the Civil War ready to reclaim its place among the Great Powers. Whether under the revolutionary ambitions of the Falange or the ancient banners of Carlism, Spain's future will no longer end with the Civil War. This mod massively expands both the Falangist and Carlist paths of the Spanish National Focus Tree, turning them into extensive campaigns with new political, economic, military, diplomatic, technological and imperial content.

This mod adds:

• Two extensively expanded paths for Falangist and Carlist Spain, featuring dozens of new focuses, events, decisions, National Spirits and alternative routes.

• Rebuild Spain after the devastation of the Civil War through extensive economic, industrial and reconstruction branches, eventually transforming the country into an economic power capable of competing with the world's major nations.

• Completely overhaul the Spanish Army, Navy and Air Force through new doctrines, commanders, industrial projects, specialized forces, military companies and research opportunities.

• Pursue ambitious scientific projects, develop Spain's nuclear capabilities and compete with the Great Powers technologically.

• Reclaim Spain's former territories and restore its influence across Europe, the Americas and beyond.

• Restore Spain's former European possessions, including the Spanish Netherlands, the Kingdom of Naples and the Duchy of Athens, and determine their ultimate place within the new Spanish order.

• Recreate the former Spanish Viceroyalties under a new political order or pursue alternative approaches to Spanish influence in the Americas, including Pan-Americanism.

• As the Falange, carry Spain's ambitions across virtually every region of the world, with dedicated focuses for expansion throughout Europe, Africa, the Americas, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific.

• Establish Falangist Commissariats across conquered territories, creating an enormous network of subject administrations capable of supporting Spain's global ambitions.

• Reconcile with former enemies of the Civil War by pardoning Communist, Carlist and Anarchist factions and integrating their surviving commanders into the Spanish Armed Forces.

• As the Carlists, decide the future of the Spanish monarchy and choose between multiple possible claimants to the throne, each capable of taking Spain in a different direction.

• Lead the Carlist cause far beyond simply winning the Civil War, rebuilding Spain under a traditional monarchy while deciding what political, social and economic order will define the restored kingdom.

• Develop an extensive Carlist post-war economy, choosing between different approaches to Spain's rural, industrial and corporatist development while exploiting the country's strategic resources.

• Rebuild the Royal Armed Forces through extensive Carlist Army, Naval and Air branches, drawing lessons from the Civil War while preparing Spain for the conflicts to come.

• Pursue new geopolitical ambitions under the Carlist monarchy, from the restoration of Spain's historical influence to entirely new European and global projects.

• Discover numerous new characters, generals, field marshals, admirals, advisors, scientists and political figures, alongside new traits and unique character interactions.

• Extensive new flavor content, including hundreds of descriptions, cosmetic tags, subject states, events, decisions and National Spirits designed to make both paths feel like complete alternate-history campaigns.

• Spanish war songs to sing while you flood France's capital city with troops.

• And yes, General Tom the Cat is still here. He is my beloved cat, and somehow he has become an important member of the Spanish High Command.

EXTRA :

This whole project started as a joke — I just added my cat as a general in HOI4 and made some minor changes to Spain. Then someone bet me 16 bucks that if I ever published a mod, it would never hit the Steam Workshop frontpage. Mission accomplished. 🐱⚔️ What I definitely didn't expect was for the joke to keep growing. Since its release, the mod has received far more attention than I ever imagined, and what started as a few silly additions to Spain eventually turned into full-scale reworks of both Falangist and Carlist Spain, with an absurd amount of content added along the way. The original goal of the project was accomplished a long time ago. Everything that came afterwards happened simply because I enjoyed working on it, experimenting with new ideas and seeing how far I could take what originally started as a €16 bet and a cat. After all this time, the mod has become something completely different from what I originally imagined when I first uploaded it to the Workshop. Thanks a ton to everyone who played the mod, sent suggestions, reported bugs, left comments, shared it with others or simply enjoyed conquering half the planet as Spain. This was supposed to be a silly bet and it somehow became a massive HOI4 project. And yes, Tom is still a general.
