This mod works despite it saying it's out dated.
This adds more pathways through the sea to make life/gameplay easier. There are many benefits of this, China can actually defeat Japan now. You can go from Spain to Africa by foot and a lot more that doesn't give any one country an unfair advantage but makes transportation easier. You can infact walk from Siam to Australia and Philippines. Also to many other places that would otherwise be a hastle to get to. Hope you guys enjoy, if you need anything, have any requests, or feedback let me know in comments. Thank you!!!

So I found this really cool mod in the workshop and I think it definitely could gain a large subscriber base. Basically it randomizes most countries starting ideology, it's called Revolutions in All Countries: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=876905540&tscn=1490250629
