Minecraft Skin Picker

What was originally going to be a bigger project I had to trim down for the meantime due to my lack of Lua knowledge. But if any Lua coder is interested in helping me I'll have a pinned thread discussing what I was unable to do. :|

I do plan on hopefully adding more to this later on. So if anyone believe they have good armor, headgear, or cape textures I have made a forum post below "skin ideas" for anyone wanting to leave suggested textures.

MOD SPECS:

• Custom Spawn Menu
• 2 Player Models
• 4 NPCs Friendly and Hostile
• Bone Merge-able Headgear, Capes, and Armor
• Bodygroups to disable the 3D effect on overlay for players
• Bodygroups for armor to disable limbs
• All outfis are skingroups for each model on each category

• Steve: has Half Life, Left 4 Dead, and Portal skins
• Alex: has Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike skins

And Finally

• Custom URL skins

• Link any url that contains a valid minecraft skin texture
• ** Skin MUST be 64x64 pixels **
• Use PNGs or gifs to avoid transparency issues
• I suggest using IMGUR.com for uploading you skin to the internet and having a direct link
• this feature is compatible with both players, their ragdolls, armor, and headgear

FAQs - 'help it won't work'

Q: So how do I actually set my skin? A: Hold Q to open your spawn menu, and click the "options" tab in the top right corner. In it, select "Skin Selection" under the minecraft group. From there, type a URL to a minecraft skin.

Q: It says my model is not steve or alex! What's the dealio? A: Your playermodel must be either the steve or alex model. Hold c, go to the top left and go to the playermodel selection button.

Q: How do I set the skin of a ragdoll or cosmetic item? A: Hold C and right click on the ragdoll, and you should see the 'Set Minecraft Skin' menu item. Click it, and a similar dialogue as the player skin page will appear for that entity.

Q: How come this doesn't support Minecraft usernames like the others? A: Because I'm not a coder.....but if you're a coder and would like to fix it I would love to have you on the project.
