Overview

I always felt like the two Day of Defeat vehicles from the Simfphys Armed Vehicles pack just weren't enough. This mod aims to add to the ranks of the Sherman and Tiger with two brand new vehicles, the Leichter Panzerspahwagen Sonderkraftfahrzeug 222 ("Lightly armored reconnaissance vehicle special purpose 222"), armed with a 20mm KwK 38 autocannon and MG34 machine gun, and the American M16 Multiple Gun Motor Carriage SPAAG, based on the M3 half-track.

This addon aims to create as smooth, polished, and "stock-alike" of an experience as possible.

The Sd. Kfz. 222 is a light scout car armed with two fast-firing automatic weapons - a high-explosive 20mm main cannon and a coaxial MG34 machine gun. Fired in parallel, the guns can sweep through infantry at a blazing pace. However, its weak armor and a weapon unsuited for anti-tank use mean that drivers should avoid a head-on brawl. It can fit two additional passengers.

The M16 MGMC is a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun. Fitted with four .50 calibre heavy machine guns firing together in a barrage pattern on a turret with excellent elevation, it is uniquely suited to taking on air targets, but it can also be applied against infantry - however, it has very weak armor and can be taken out easily by concentrated small arms fire. Most armored vehicles, including the Sd. Kfz. 222, are capable of easily destroying the M16.
