Sliding Ability

This addon adds sliding ability while you use other weapons.

Mantle + Wallrun and [VManip] Vaulting for enhanced experience!

Features

• Sprint + crouch to slide anytime! You can use weapons, too!

• Going downward while you slide slightly increases your speed, like other games

• Third person animation

• Compatible with leg mods like Gmod Legs 3 and Enhanced Camera

• Somewhat configurable via console variables

ConVars

• sliding_ability_tilt_viewmodel (default: 1) If 1, view model will tilt while sliding like Apex Legends.

• sliding_ability_acceleration (default: 250) The acceleration/deceleration for sliding. Larger value makes shorter sliding distance.

• sliding_ability_cooldown (default: 0.3) The cooldown time to be able to slide again in seconds.

• sliding_ability_cooldown_jump (default: 0.6) The cooldown time to be able to slide again when you jump while sliding, in seconds.

Known Incompatibilities

• PAC3 breaks the third person animation.

FAQ

Q. What is the weapons in the video? A. They are HAVOC Rifle and Wingman from TFA-based Apex Legends SWEPs, which are removed from the workshop for some reason now.

Q. What are maps in the screenshots and the video? A. gm_fork (the video and the first screenshot), Grottopolis (the second one), and gm_construct (the third one).

Q. What are the player model used in the screenshots and the video? A. Apex Legends - Pathfinder (in the video), Mirage (Apex Legends) (1st screenshot), CS:S SWAT (2nd one), and Dummies (3rd one).

Q. I can't press shift and ctrl at the same time! A. Adding a key to crouch may help you slide. For example, entering bind C +duck adds C for another crouch key. You might also find it helpful to use ToggleCrouch or Toggle Duck/Crouch.

Q. I can't fire some weapons while sliding. Any fix? A. Release the sprint key while you slide. It thinks you're still sprinting.
