▶ What is this?

A maintained, modernized continuation of the classic Cinema addon: watch synced video, music, and streams together on in-game screens, with a queue and controls.

⚠️ Before anything else, read these two sections: Conflicts and Setup. They solve 90% of "it doesn't work" comments.

🛑 Conflicts — Read First

This addon WILL conflict with the original "Cinema" by PixelTail Games and any fork or re-upload of it.

You MUST disable all other Cinema addons before using this one. Running them together causes errors and broken playback.

If something isn't working, check this first.

🛠️ Setup

Step 1 — Disable conflicts. Turn off the original (and any other) Cinema addons.

Step 2 — Know what works out-of-the-box. YouTube, SoundCloud, and WebM work immediately on Windows. Everything else needs the x86-64 BETA branch + GModPatchTool. Setup guides: ➡ Windows | MacOS | Linux | Proton

Step 3 — Linux/MacOS only. Add this Steam launch parameter to prevent crashes and stuttering:

GMOD_ENABLE_LD_PRELOAD=1 %command%

Use Proton 11 or newer for best results.

Note: Neither the author nor this addon provides support for Linux or MacOS — use at your own risk. The author, the GModPatchTool creator, and this addon cannot be held liable for any damages or issues.

• Synchronized playback: everyone sees and hears the same media in real time.

• Media Control: users can play, pause, and seek media, and adjust the volume.

• Queue system: multiple players can add media. Supports vote-up/down, chronological order, lock, and vote skip.

• Video History: search and pagination for previously requested videos with filtering by service and sorting options.

• Hide players: option to reduce visibility of other players inside theaters.

• Experimental Sandbox mode: Optional Sandbox derivation for building in Cinema.
