StormFox 2

StormFox 2 is the successor to StormFox applying weather, light and effects to the map. SF2 is created with a focus on asynchronization, letting clients handle the effects.

Warning! This will not work with StormFox 1.

Settings and options

• To open the clientsettings, you can find it in the context menu (C - menu), or type "stormfox2_menu" in the console

• To open the controller, you can find it in the context menu (C - menu), or type "stormfox2_controller" in the console.

• To open the serversettings, you click the cog symbol in the controller, or type "stormfox2_svmenu" in the console.

FAQ and Common problems

• It lags when the light changes! The map you're playing on most likely doesn't support light_enviroment. Disable extra lightsupport or choose another map. You can check this in serversettings

• I can't open server-settings, controller or use commands! You don't have access. Check your installed adminmod.

• Rain and other effects lag! Increase the FPS to what you feel comfortable with in the clientsettings.

• I don't see rain or particle effects! You have to decrease your FPS-setting. Try 40.

• How do I change weather? Open the controller, select the weather-% you want and then click on the weather-icon.

• How do I make it snow? Rain + Cold = Snow

• Does SF1 addons work with SF2? Not unless the creator has updated their mod.

• Will SF1 addons cause errors with SF2? Highly unlikely.

Requirements

• DirectX 9c ( Most GPUs past 2007 supports this )

• For best enjoyment, a map with light_enviroment support.
