Zeta Players | The Sandbox Nextbots

4/22/2026 Note: The addon seems to run into a cycle of mass reports which prompts Valve to ban the addon in response. I never delete my previous work. If you ever see the addon disappear again, it's because it was banned by mass reports. For now, the ban has been resolved and the incompatibility problem has been resolved.

The Zeta Players | Finished Stage! Thank you all!

 This next server requires bot intelligence. Consequently never satisfied by normal bots. That's where you come in. You know the Toolgun. You know the Physgun. You know how to play Sandbox. You'll be perfect. 

Due to the extremely long development on the Zetas, I am burnt out from working on the Zetas. This means I prefer to no longer work on the Zetas and continue with things I want to do. If you want to help me out and fix certain issues or if you want to fork the Zetas and make your own version, check out the Github.

After many months in development, the Zetas have reached their final scheduled update!

The Zetas are Nextbots that are designed to mimic a real player playing Sandbox. These bots are capable of decent combat, Building, Chilling, overall nearly all things players can do. Granted Zetas are NOT considered players which means they can't trigger things nor do things real players can truly do. So please keep that in mind. The Zetas have many many options to allow you to personalize them to your liking! From Names, Profile Pictures, Text Lines, Voice Lines, and many more!

(This does not mean I will not update the zetas anymore. This just means updates entirely depend if I decide to update the zetas)

Do note these guys require a Navigation Mesh in order to function properly! If a map does not have one, type nav_generate in console to make one. Be warned that it can take a long time depending on how large the map is and by how complicated it is

THIS IS CONSIDERED A SINGLEPLAYER ADDON ONLY! ANY ISSUES REPORTED FROM MULTIPLAYER WILL BE IGNORED! Although I won't stop you from using them in multiplayer, you really shouldn't use them there

What the Zetas offer for you

They want to have fun! This involves dancing to half life 2 music or YOUR music! (See the tutorial on how to add custom music in one of the videos above) There are many many things they can do! You have to play with them to find out what they can do

The Zetas are HIGHLY customizable! More than 20 available options for you to mess with!

They will turn your Singleplayer sandbox game into something we all would of thought of when thinking of Garry's Mod

The Zetas can't use all available things to them so this is where I bring you the Register System. In the Zeta's very own options, there are panels to allow you to add certain things to the zetas!

It's been a few weeks since the release of the Zetas and I would like to mention the Zetas are actually my first Glua addon that is on the workshop. We've come so far from the very first days from the Improved Movement, Personalities, and to the Team System. It's amazing to see the Zetas slowly learn more and more on how to get to the next level of sandbox shenanigans.
