Media Player Redux

⚠️ Important – Read This First

Status This addon is finished (Maintenance Mode).
Only bug fixes and small updates when needed. No fixed update schedule.

1. Conflicts This addon does not work with the original Media Player or any other version of it.
You must disable all other Media Player addons before using this one.
If you don’t, you will get errors and nothing will work correctly.

2. Setup • On Windows, YouTube, SoundCloud, WebM, images and normal audio work right away.
• Everything else needs the x86-64 BETA branch + GModPatchTool.

• Linux / MacOS only: Add this to your Steam launch options:

GMOD_ENABLE_LD_PRELOAD=1 %command%

Use Proton 11 or newer if possible.
We do not support Linux or MacOS. Use at your own risk.

3. White / Black Screen or Page Not Loading If the media player shows a white or black screen and nothing loads, this is almost always a problem on your side (internet provider, antivirus, firewall, VPN or adblocker).

What you can try:
• Change your DNS to Cloudflare → 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
• Or install and use Cloudflare WARP

We do not provide support for these problems.
If it still does not work after trying the above, it is not something we can fix.
