Sentinel Turret

About:

The new, reworked version. Great for random NPC battles, multiplayer etc. You can find this turret in [Entities/Frasiu's R&D]

Ammo Types Explained:

Normal: Standard accurate bullets. Bouncy: Ricocheting bullets with a slight debuff to damage. Explosive: This ammo will damage entities in a small radius(It will also break welds). Penetrating: These bullets can penetrate props/walls and entities.

Features:

• Targets NPCs as well as players,
• Customizable, see settings down below,
• Duplicable, you can save the turret with all of the settings,
• Destructible, players and enemy NPCs can destroy the gun.
• 3 turret classes: Rebel, Combine, Zombie, for targeting different NPCs / Players.

Settings

-{ Behaviour Options }-

• Suppress if covered: If the target hides behind cover the Sentinel will keep shooting. Works best with Penetrating ammo
• Ignore owner: Applicable to enemy Sentinel turrets (Combine, Zombie). If checked turret will not target the owner (the player who spawned the sentry)
• Ignore players: Applicable to enemy Sentinel turrets (Combine, Zombie). If checked turret will not target any players

-{ Options }-

• Ammo Type: (Bouncy, explosive, normal, penetrating)
• Manual control: If checked the turret is controlled by the player (Press E)
• Laser color: color of an aiming laser (cosmetic only)
• Radious (should be Radius): Enemy finding radius

FAQ

• Is this an updated version of Destructible Automatic Turret?

• Yes, however due to many changes we've decided to make it as a separate addon and not just an update.

• I get Lua errors while using that addon.

• If the Console doesn't say "lua/entities/entity_sentrygun.lua" then it's not a problem with the Turret itself. Can't do anything about it, contact the author of the faulty addon.

• Is it able to kill Strider, Gunship or a monster_bullchicken?

• Yes it is. You can use explosive ammo for those dudes. It can even kill the monster_gargantua!
