Five Nights at Freddy's: Extended Gamemode

Welcome to your new job at the new and improved Freddy Fazbears Pizza! This gamemode allows you to play FNAF dependent on the map and files for said map. it's also meant to be a "party minigame" where you play with small groups of friends.

How to play:

By default it includes FNAF 1 (except also includes a bonus night), in which all behaviors and mechanics were recreated based on looking at the source code for the real game.

To begin playing FNAF 1, load the map "gm_freddyspizza_events" while having the gamemode active.

Otherwise if you want to play something besides FNAF 1, it's possible to make other maps compatible with the gamemode, information regarding that is at the "creation" section. however if someone made an addon that does so, then all you need to do is install it, and instead load into whatever map the addon description/title might say has made compatible.

After that, once you are in the game, Press F1 to open the main menu. and configure everything accordingly, if you want to play solo, remember to choose "Night Guard" before clicking "Begin Night".

The Night Guard

Your objective is to survive until 6 AM! Utilize the cameras, lights, and doors to help do so! besides pressing E to use the lights and doors, you also can hit your reload key to toggle your cameras.

The Characters/Animatronics

Your objective is to kill the night guard before 6 AM! You have limited energy and movement opportunity timer to work around to do so. So, think accordingly, maybe coordinate with other characters if you are like in another channel on discord.

Extra Info:

On top of the normal nights, you got 3 other nights.

Custom Night

allows you to play with custom difficulties set for characters. (difference between -1 and 0, is that 0 is simply no activity, while -1 also makes them not even spawn in the game)

Random Night

randomizes the difficulty for characters upon starting a night.

Chaos Night

periodically randomizes the difficulty for characters over the course of the night.

Creation:

You can use this gamemode to create your own FNAF game for a map, however this is more advanced stuff. if you want to figure out how to do so and you know LUA, I recommend decompiling the addon to see the mapdata of FNAF 1.

The paths to doing so is: YourAddonName\lua\fnafextended\gamemode\mapdata
at that point you can either do: MAPNAME.lua OR MAPNAME\shared.lua

MAPNAME being named after the map you are targetting, and YourAddonName is whatever you name your addon.

Binds:

Just in case you have your keys rebound. F1 = "gm_showhelp" F2 = "gm_showteam"

Potential Solutions to issues:

Issue 1: some key is not working in the gamemode. 1: You might have the key rebound, refer to the binds section above to see what commands you need to run in console or if you know you set the command to another key. 1.2: An addon might be causing problems, go through your addons and see if any are causing problems and disable it. 1.3: Your gmod might be loading sandbox anyway, in which try restarting the game, if that doesn't work maybe reinstall the game.
