Z-City is a project which modifies character damage and controls.

Z-City also comes with its own weapon base and a gamemode. We aim to create a realistic, but fun experience. Embrace the random madness.

Quick explanation what this addon adds:

• A complex health system with new medical items. The HL2 health points are completely unused. With this system, the character dies only when the brain dies. The brain dies either from direct damage or the lack of oxygen, which itself can be caused by a lot of factors. The health system also has a lot of cool effects you can experience when dying horribly!

• A system which allows for movement when you're ragdolled. You can crawl, slide, shoot weapons, use items or doors/buttons

• A custom armor system which works smoothly with the health system. Every armor has its own protection level. If it doesn't get penetrated, you'll still receive blunt damage.

• A custom ammo system with a lot of variety. There are regular rounds, hollow points, armor penetrating rounds, and even flashbang rounds.

• Physical bullets option. Can be enabled with "lua_run SetGlobalBool('PhysBullets_ReplaceDefault', true)" command

• Custom weapon base, which also includes rocket launchers, rebel and combine weapons, taser, and a slugcat. Every bullet can be lethal.

• Custom appearance and accessories for characters. Big thanks to DisTac and xlebio for making a lot of new accessories for this project specifically!

A lot of small minigames in the gamemode. They include:

• CO-OP gamemode for Half-Life 2 maps. Kinda working, but it's better to be used with maps already made for CO-OP

• Deathmatch gamemode

• Gang Wars gamemode (fent included)

• Homicide gamemode, with sub-modes

• The ...

• PathOwOgen gamemode. Protogen survival with extraction and traitors

• Riot gamemode. Melee-only fights

• TDM and Long TDM gamemodes. The longer version can be played like a CS match

• Other gamemodes you might find in the files. They're probably not working though

And that's only the surface of the amount of things you can experience in this project. Play around and find more stuff!

Useful stuff and knowledge:

**To list through this gamemode's commands, use "find hg_" and "find zb_". Most of them should have descriptions

Q-menu doesn't open the spawnmenu. To open it, press F1**

Keybinds you'll probably need when playing:

• bind "key" "hg_change_posture 2" (to have it binded to specific posture)

• bind "key" "hg_change_posture" (to list through postures, also shows the bindable postures in the console)

• bind "key" "fake" (ragdolling)

• bind "key" "say *drop" (drop currently held weapon)

• bind "key" "+hmcd_holdbreath" (hold breath, useful to avoid CO gas and cyanide, also helps with aiming)

• bind "key" "hmcd_togglelaser" (toggle attached lasers, also works for tasers)

• bind "key" "hg_kick"

• bind "key" "+hg_zoom" (DayZ-like zoom)

• bind "key" "suicide"

• bind "key" "+alt1" (lean left)

• bind "key" "+alt2" (lean right)

• bind "key" "+speed" (grab with left hand when faked)

• bind "key" "+walk" (grab with right hand when faked)

• bind "key" "+altlook" (look around without moving the body)

RCON commands:

• zb_dev (0/1) - enables developer mode, stops RTV menu from appearing and disables karma penalties

• zb_pluvtown (0/1) - enables pluvtown mode. pluvpluvpluvpluvpluv

Gamemode stuff (you have to have ZCity gamemode running, not sandbox):

• Press F6 to open the gamemodes menu if you're an admin.
