Tactical Commander Mode

Tactical Commander Mode brings RTS experience to gmod, allowing you to control NPC squads from an top-down tactical perspective.

IMPORTANT

• In order to play this mod, you need to find "Commander Mode" in C menu and set a key for it. Binding a key for Commander Mode will NOT overwrite or remove the original function of that key. For example, if you chose SPACE key, you can still jump normally. SPACE will also toggle Commander Mode. You can also enter of_commander_key 0 in the console to unbind.

• This addon only works on maps with AI nodes. The default gm_construct and City Gateway are good example. Some maps have few NPC ai nodes. You can use "Check NPC Walkable Area" function to check areas where NPCs can walk. Choosing open maps with enough height for camera is highly recommended.

• Nextbots and some custom NPCs may not be compatible.

• May conflict with AI enhancement addons — disable them if issues arise.

• When dragging left mouse to select NPCs, if your mouse enters the right side panel during the drag, the selection will automatically end. This behavior is intentional to prevent the mouse from becoming stuck if you accidentally drag over the side panel.

Controls

• Left Mouse Button: Select NPCs or Drag for Multiple Selections

• Right Mouse Button: Command the Selected NPC to a Location

• Middle Mouse Button/W/A/S/D: Pan Camera

• Mouse Wheel: Zoom In / Out

• Q/E: Rotate Camera

• Z/C: Tilt Camera

• Shift: Multi-Select

• Ctrl: Multi-Remove

• TAB: Hide UI
