Combine Invasion: Warehouse Raid

You have been tasked to break into a warehouse used by the Combine, raid any devices potentially useful for the rebel cause, and escape.

When you have successfully entered the facility, you will need to head towards the vault and override the emergency door release. Once inside, shatter the protective case around the devices by short-circuiting it's control panel.

Be aware that local forces will react QUICKLY to any breakin, so you must work as fast as you can before you are overrun. A scout car is provided at the back of the facility for a quick getaway once the devices are retrieved.

This is my second Combine Invasion map. It is inspired by PAYDAY: The Heist's "First World Bank" level and allowed me an opportunity to experiment with more advanced source engine entities and ideas.

The objective of this map is to steal some 'devices' from the warehouse. This involves quickly breaking in and quickly breaking out.

To start, you must find a way to break into the warehouse. You could either smash your way through with the windows, or blow open the garage door with the explosive of your choice.

Once you're inside, you must hack into the keypad by the vault doors (A blue metal wall embedded into a brick wall). Inside the vault, again, you must interact with a keypad to break open the case containing the devices (this time by shorting it out).

Once the devices are retrieved, you need to escape the warehouse; you can't go out the front because it is too heavily guarded. A wall at the back of the warehouse is noticibly weaker; you can destroy it with the explosive of your choice. Now fight your way towards the scout car at the end.

Be aware that you have THREE LIVES. Make sure that you keep yourself alive.

If you find that the map for some reason does not seem to work properly, please try the following:

DISABLE ANY OTHER ADDONS =>This is a very important step, as many addons on the workshop modify the behavior of entities that this map utilises VERIFY YOUR GAME CACHE =>In a few cases, Steam may not have downloaded Garry's Mod correctly, or it's file system became corrupt. Usually as a result of poor/unstable internet. Verifying game cache can sometimes locate corrupted files and replace them with working ones. REINSTALL GARRY'S MOD =>See "Verify your game cache"; In even fewer cases, Verifying game cache might not even solve this issue. In this extreme case, you may need to reinstall Garry's Mod all together. WHERE TO FIND THE MAP =>The map is located in the 'other' section in the map browser and is called 'cmbinv_warehouseraid_v3'
