Ladder Tool

What is it?

A tool to create usable ladders. It also comes with four ladder entities that can be moved around freely.

Why do I care?

Because deep down, you've always wanted this.

How do I use it?

Easy!

Find the tool under the "Construction" tab in your tools menu.

1.) Left click a wall with the tool where the TOP of your ladder will be. 2.) Left click again at the lowest point of your ladder. Don't worry about keeping the line between your two points straight; the tool takes care of that. 3.) Climb your ladder!

OPTIONAL:

4.) Right click on the ledge at the top of your ladder, then in front of the bottom of your ladder. This will add dismount locations to your ladder so players can easily and safely dismount the ladder.

Caveats

• Ladders placed by the tool are always vertical. • Ladders placed by the tool cannot be duplicated or saved. • Ladder entities from the Q menu will sometimes behave strangely after reloading a save. • Cannot climb ladders while they are being moved.

Ladders placed down by the tool can be persisted using the special context menu option. As well, dismount locations close to the top and bottom of a saved ladder will also be saved with that ladder. Only super admins can set a ladder to be persistent!

NOTE: As I don't work on this anymore, certain features have been broken by updates to the game. Don't expect perfect functionality anymore.
