[b] Amusement Park is a non-functioning city Park in the abandoned city of Pripyat, Kiev region, Ukraine, due to the Chernobyl accident. One of the highly contaminated areas in Pripyat. The most famous object located in the Park is the Ferris wheel, which later became one of the symbols of both Pripyat and the entire Chernobyl exclusion zone as a whole. The wheel never worked; it was supposed to be launched on may 1, 1986, but 5 days before putting the attraction into operation there was an accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. However, test runs of the wheel were made before the opening of the amusement Park, during installation.
