[b] ▷ T-26-Soviet light tank. The most numerous tank of the red and Finnish Armies by the beginning of the great Patriotic war. In the second half of the 1930s, the T-26 was the most mass-produced light tank in the USSR of the pre-war period. This tank of direct support of infantry (NPP) on the battlefield in the early 1930s was the leader in its class, but the rapid development of foreign tanks and the emergence of almost all armies of the world inexpensive mass anti-tank guns changed the situation in a deteriorating direction for the USSR. Armament T-26 mod. 1931 were two 7.62 mm machine gun DT-29, placed in ball installations in the frontal part of the towers. Guidance of machine guns was carried out by means of diopter sights. The DT-29 had an effective range of 600-800 m and a maximum sighting range of 1,000 m.the machine gun was Powered from disc magazines with a capacity of 63 rounds, the rate of fire was 600, and the combat rate was 100 rounds per minute.
