A legendary beast of Formula 1 with the most consecutive wins, the longest time in between first and final victories, and a regal style that would stick for several years, the Lotus 72D is considered to be the greatest F1 car ever built for its achievements.
With gigantic racing slicks, a top-tier engine for its time during the 1970s, and new technologies never used previously in the sport, the 72D is one of the most coveted racing machines ever built. The vehicle is highly prized, and gave rise to several of F1's greatest drivers' careers.
The Brick Rigs replica was by far the most intricate paint scheme I have ever recreated. With golden lines and golden text everywhere on the shell, it certainly cost quite a bit in terms of brick count, but what is a Lotus without the regal details? It was overall an amazing car to build, and I hope you all enjoy it too!
Please note that this is a rear wheel drive vehicle. Although it stays straight like an arrow, if it begins to fishtail, slow down and regain stability. The nose of the vehicle may also be a bit fragile over bumps, so try not to let road bounce take hold of your driving.
