In the early 70s Takeda slapped a bed cap on a pickup and put a second row of seats under it and called it an SUV, dubbed the Rover. It was uncomfortable and truck-like, but rugged and great at off-road. This model has continued, despite rising fuel costs and the death of many other true small SUV competitors. The Rover retains its tough nature and is still a popular choice for off-road enthusiasts. It's compact and nimble, and the short wheelbase reduces the risk of framing out on a crest. Continuing my recent trend of abnormal-width vehicles for better proportions, the main body is 6 1/3 bricks wide. It also has some pretty neat rims. They added a lot to the brick count but I felt like it was worth it.
