The C-125 "Neva" (rocket index - 5V24, export name of the complex - "Pechora", according to the classification of the US Department of Defense and NATO - SA-3 Goa) is a Soviet short-range surface-to-air missile system. It was adopted by the Armed Forces of the USSR in 1961. Over 400 C-125 systems have been sold for export. The chief developer is NPO Almaz named after Academician A. A. Raspletin.

The surface-to-air missile system (SAM) C-125 "Pechora" was developed as a complex to combat low-altitude piloted and unmanned aerial targets at altitudes ranging from 20 to 18,000 meters, at distances of 3.5-25 km.

When designing the C-125, the main task was to obtain sufficient accuracy in guiding missiles under conditions of reflections from the earth's surface. For this purpose, space scanning is used in two mutually perpendicular planes for receiving echo signals from the target and the rocket responders. The target is probed using a narrow beam formed by a separate antenna, which provides the use of the "differential" method of missile guidance.

The missile for the C-125 SAM, developed by KBM "Fakel," is a two-stage design, with a solid-propellant booster and a sustainer motor.

The C-125 "Pechora" SAM was put into service in 1961 and provided for firing at a single target flying at speeds of up to 560 m/s with two missiles, with a probability of hitting the target of up to 0.98.

During the service life, the SAM equipment has undergone multiple upgrades.
