This version of the Apache comes equipped with an M230E1 Chain Gun, assisted by a ground stabilized optic, as well as 4 Laser Guided AGM-114 Hellfire II Air to Ground Missiles. Technology, agility, and firepower are this Apache's strengths. Here's more about the key features:

Optic - Alt View The Apache comes outfitted with a state-of-the-art stabilized optic, which has the ability to lock onto the ground, keeping your sight pointed at the same object regardless of the maneuvers the helicopter is undertaking. Ground lock can be toggled on and off using K(Hazard Lights) and is visually indicated in both the cockpit. Important note: When not being actively controlled, unless ground lock is toggled on, the sight will return to the forward facing position.

M230E1 Chain Gun - Action 1 The chain gun is mounted on the bottom of the Apache, and is controlled by the gunner sight. In game it uses small caliber machine guns, and has alternating explosive and incendiary munitions. Firing the chain gun is done using action 1.

AGM-114 Hellfire II Missiles - Action 2 Missiles are core to the Apache's arsenal, and are its primary form of anti-armor. The Hellfire missiles guide themselves to a point designated by the gunners optic in either a top-attack trajectory, or a direct path. There is no proximity fuse on these missiles, so be sure to direct hit your target, or strike the ground nearby. Hellfires can be used to destroy air targets, but it requires precision aiming, as the Hellfires require the laser to be shown on the target. Important note: Only 1 Hellfire can be in the air at a time, so firing another Hellfire while one is already in the air will detonate the previously launched missile. Hellfires are fired using action 2, and tapping X(disable steering) will switch the trajectory between top-attack(default) and direct fire.

Pilot-Gunner Mode - Beacon (B) When there is no gunner in the Apache, all gunner controls can still be accessed by the pilot by switching to gunner mode. While in gunner mode, the helicopter will level itself (not hover) and all pilot controls will be inaccessable. In this state, the pilot can use all controls available to the gunner to perform the same tasks. IMPORTANT: K(hazard light) has a function in pilot controls and one in gunner controls. Due to this, the current mode for pilot(hover) and gunner(ground lock) are toggled by K INDEPENDENTLY. When the pilot is in gunner mode, pressing K will only toggle ground lock and not hover mode. While not in gunner mode, K only toggles hover mode. Due to this, the UI inidcation of Hazard Lights being on or off is NOT directly related to the current state of hover and ground lock. Instead, there are visual indications to show if hover or ground lock are toggled on or off.
