The C series (also called C/T series) is a line of pickup trucks that was sold by Mitchell of Eleanor Motor Corporation from October 1962 to August 1994. The same basic design was retained until the 1994 introduction of a completely new generation truck called Moore. The C/T series shared its DC platform with other Mitchell commercial vehicles such as the L-Series Commercial Van in production since 1962. Two-wheel-drive (4×2) models were designated C, while four-wheel-drive (4×4) models were designated T.
This is the second generation introduced in August 1970. Shares most technical parts with the previous generation such as engines and frame. Suspension was upgraded to be more durable. More transmissions and body types were introduced. This vehicle here was produced until 1972. That year the front fascia was redesigned and more motors were added such as the 424 cui Thunderscreech V-8, along with a new body dubbed the Lux Cab - basically an extended cab with no extra door.
Engines avaliable for the '70 model year were: The iconic 250 ci OHV "Super-Six" Inline-6 motor making 150 horse-power @ 4000 RPM. 293 ci OHV "Fleet-Torque" V-8 motor making 242 horse-power @ 3500 RPM. 339 ci OHV "Super-Torque" V-8 motor making 316 horse-power @ 3500 RPM. 400 ci OHV big-block "Ultra-Torque" V-8 motor making 396 horse-power @ 3500 RPM. The vehicle also came with 3 transmission choices: 3-speed manual (in this car, fyi). 4-speed manual. 3-speed column-mounted automatic.
