1971 Trans Am - (70-72 Pontiac Firebird Trans am - Blue)

Hello Folks! Today I bring you perhaps the most sentimental vehicle I've made so far(my father having over thirty of them within his lifetime- having spent a lot of time around Trans Ams myself)... The 1971 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am in all its glory.

The Trans Am may be perhaps one of the most beloved and iconic vehicles in auto history. It sits at number two on my favorites list only behind the 1970 Charger R/T. The inspiration for this creation came recently after the second near destruction of our(My father and I's) replacement 1971 Trans Am due to a gasoline leak/fire- the original 1971 Trans Am that we had for many years having been destroyed along with my home in a wildfire. In honor of the luck we've had avoiding two gasoline leak fires(The first one I put out with a fire extinguisher we had accidentally left in the car when moving, the second I smelled the gasoline prior to fire by chance having walked around the driver's side of the car for no particular reason just before driving away from a vista point) 1971 Trans Am, I decided to create this version for Brick Rigs. - In old-school sport style this beautiful, well rounded classic features a Pontiac 400 ci engine, automatic transmission, and 160mph speedometer. It has working headlights, taillights, accurate sequential turn signals, a faux idle system that shuts off when you exit, and every important Trans Am detail(Decals, rally wheels, emblems, interior, etc) incorporated into its design. This may be my best vehicle so far in Brick Rigs and, I am very happy with the way it has turned out. This is #2 of two in the 1971 set, featuring my preference of a blue with white stripe paintjob. Sit back in your bucket seat, turn on some cruising music, and listen to the '400 rumble as you comfortably navigate the windy coastline of California(or some other region) thanks to its aerodynamic style and tight suspension.
