1997 Land Rover Defender 110

I made this a while back and just needed to post these

this is a 1997 Land Rover Defender 110 with the TDI diesel motor. The 110 in the name stands for 110 inches in wheelbase as it is the four door version instead of the defender 90, which is the two door machine. These things go way back and are full of adventure. Almost every adventure or action movie has one of these trucks in there, and has left a great mark in adventure around the world. An example of an adventure were the Camel Trophy races, as two precipitants around the world from any country would compete in an full time offroad adventure through some of the most treacherous environments and obsticles with nothing more than a stock defender or land rover of the time. Its sad to see how things have changed, and how much just changing owners from one company to another can change such an icon as jaguar changed the defender completely. These trucks also came with the land rover full time 4wd with the center differential lock to give even power for the front and rear wheels of the vehicle. They also had solid axles front and rear with coil suspension for a good ride and better offroad handling. These trucks where never good on the highway, but always were a blast to drive, and the legacy still goes on through today with the spirit of adventure every time one of these crosses paths, and shall for generations to come.
