Blackburn Buccaneer S.2C

The Blackburn Buccaneer was a British carrier-borne strike aircraft developed in the late 1950s by Blackburn Aircraft for the Royal Navy. Designed to carry out low-level attacks against Soviet naval targets, it featured a robust airframe, supersonic capability, and the ability to operate from aircraft carriers. The Buccaneer first flew in 1958 and entered service in 1962, primarily with the Fleet Air Arm. It was renowned for its ability to fly at extremely low altitudes, evading radar detection, and carried a potent payload of bombs and missiles. The aircraft served in various conflicts before being retired in the early 1990s.
