In 1985, Skyright executive designers have thought about wanting to create a large helicopter for cargo transportation with the intentions of having it lift the heaviest loads that no other helicopter has done before, yet they didn't think about just simply designing a decent-sized helicopter. They wanted to go for something bigger. They wanted to go for something STRONGER. More powerful even. They wanted to reach the possible designing limits. So they got to work and drew out sketches and blueprints for how it should look and operate. After many work done, they eventually got the approval to get engineers to build the model. It took months of building and wiring everything into place. Eventually, the first model was completed in 1986 and was sent out to go through tests that all new helicopters were authorized to do before being released for public and private use. Turns out, after a specific test of finding the susceptibility of the highest possible lifting capacity, the helicopter was recorded to lift the weight of up to 37,000 POUNDS, or 18.5 TONS. After many completed attempts on certain tests, the new helicopter was ready for duty.

CSH is an abbreviation for Colossal Sky Hauler and the number 57 represents the length area of the cargo hold in feet. Since they announced about their new helicopter, they got many preorders from different country military and private companies. They were planned to produce to up to more than 50 models of the CSH-57, however due to financial issues, along with other issues that they had unexpectedly run into, they only produced 19 models. The CSH-57 was the pinnacle of Australian Engineering, proving that Australians can too make such great legendary and authentic levels of groundbreaking technological designs.
