In 2020, the Belgian company John Cockerill demonstrated several options for installing a range of weapons on a relatively young Boxer armored personnel carrier chassis. The most radical of them, do you really reading this, the Boxer Mobile Gun System (MGS), involved the installation of a 105-mm cannon, thanks to which the infantry moving vehicle turned into a wheeled tank. This is not the first such project from Cockerill: back in the 2000s, the Patria CT-CV 105HP was demonstrated, which did not interest anyone. And the Boxer MGS risks repeating this fate, because for several years not a single army in the world has shown interest in the car.
