TB-460 "Bastion" | Heavy Mobile Fortress
TB-460 "Bastion" — is not just a heavy truck, but a fully autonomous mobile fortress designed for combat and engineering missions in the harshest and most isolated environments. The massive armored semi-trailer conceals a highly developed interior infrastructure, turning the vehicle into a complete mobile base for long-term operations.
Background / History
The development of the TB-460 project began as part of a program to create protected mobile headquarters for long-term conflicts. Standard command and staff vehicles often became easy targets due to their weak armor.
The designers took a different approach by combining a heavy three-axle tractor chassis with a massive armored module. The final modification was given the formidable name "Bastion". The vehicle is built for complete self-sufficiency: a full living block with sleeping berths is equipped inside the trailer, allowing the crew to rest during long-distance deployments.
To protect against light armored vehicles and infantry, automated turrets are mounted on the roof. They are operated remotely via two protected gunner stations located inside the trailer. But the main feature of the "Bastion" is the mobile garage built into the rear section, capable of housing one reconnaissance or repair vehicle.
