Coconut

This first of its kind experimental submersible, affectionately dubbed "Coconut" after a hardy waterborne fruit from Earth's ancient past. This vessel represents a revolution in ship design, eschewing outdated designs based on seafaring vessels of Earth, the Coconut is as Europan as the ice itself and features a state-of-the-art, pressure-dispersing curved hull uniquely suited to withstand the crushing atmosphere of Europa's sub-glacial ocean. The symmetrical design also allows for four coil guns with interlocking fields of fire offering the Coconut nearly unparalleled point defense capabilities for a vessel of its size & class. The compact and curvaceous body also allows the Coconut to explore narrow caves and passages no other ship could traverse making it an ideal vessel to use for ruin expeditions, wreck salvages and other exploratory missions. This first generation vessel represents a working model designed to withstand rigorous field testing but the design firm behind the Coconut is already hard at work on successive models in specialized class roles including Scout, Transport and Deep Diver configurations as well as support craft such as shuttles and drones that will also incorporate improvements upon the original design.
