Описание автора
GENEVA SUGGESTION Scout Dimensions: 49x11 m Recommended crew size: 6-12 Recommended crew experience: Experienced
The Geneva Suggestion is a large submarine for scouting missions on which heavy resistance from Europa's sea dwellers is expected. Its most special feature is a shuttle bay which contains a modified Selkie shuttle that has been turned into a drone. Said drone features no oxygen generator or even a nav terminal, but in return it is very small and features a gun. The point of the drone is to bring divers into caves or up close to wrecks or ruins. It also has a shelf for crates to make looting quicker and easier.
Other than that, the Geneva Suggestion features:
- 1x railgun (dorsal), 2x coilgun (dorsal fore, ventral aft), (1x coilgun on drone, can defend shuttle bay somewhat)
- 1x depth charge launch tube with two loaders, can be individually dropped
- 4x electrical discharge coils (dorsal aft, ventral fore, 2x inside shuttle bay ("Toaster"))
- 5x searchlights, all usable from a single periscope up in command
- fabricator, medical fabricator, deconstructor
- horizontal speed: 23 km/h; descent speed: 12 km/h; ascent speed: 17 km/h (neutral ballast level: 0.5355)
- maintenance mode for ballast tanks (can be drained and seperated from power grid to remove ballast flora)
- reactor with various displays (power, load, fuel need, etc.)
- reactor terminal that can control batteries (submarine and drone) and capacitors
- ability to lock all duct blocks shut to isolate floods, open/close ALL button
- crew quarters; captain's quarters
- handbooks for the reactor terminal, the captain, and the buttons in engineering
Automation-wise, the Geneva Suggestion is meant to be fun for crews who prefer a hands-on experience over having everything automated. All doors are manual, for example, so the crew can decide when it is better to leave something shut or when to leave something open. The ALL: Open / Close buttons in Engineering / Cargo and Command allow flushing / isolating water in rooms by opening / shutting all doors.
Overall, my intend with the Geneva Suggestion is to have a submarine that has many neat features, but also purposefully built-in drawbacks so it isn't too easy but also not too hard to man it in Europa's waters.
If you notice any issues with the submarine, such as spelling errors on labels or logic systems that don't work, feel free to leave a comment! This is my first submarine creation after all. Well, second if you count the modified Selkie shuttle.
