A misguided Earther-designed modification of the common Selkie Shuttle, the Selkie 'Independent Xploration' is geared for independent operation with minimal crew. It has received a modest defensive armament consisting of a rear dorsal coil gun, and a keel-mounted discharge coil. Despite its diminutive size of less than 15m, it contains a fully integrated fabrication suite and miniaturized reactor. It contains multiple remote operation commands to assist a lone Captian, featuring remote shutdown, restart, and activation of the discharge coil.

It was a market disaster, costing more than your average full-size submarine and targeting a non-existent demographic of lone sailors in the unforgiving waters of Europa.
